HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!

I hope all the mothers reading this had a great day.

I spent mine doing the typical mommy things: taking care of a very sick little girl, cooking, and doing laundry. My little girl is so sick all she wants to do is cuddle on my lap, which is very nice, I just wish it was under better circumstances.

The Easter Eggs Last Day

I knew that my children's beautifully colored eggs wouldn't last much longer so
today I made deviled eggs. And each of the kids had one as I was making them.
It's a good ending for the eggs.

Our celebrations are done.

We are officially done with Christmas celebrations. Our last one occurred this weekend and it was very nice. But I am glad it is over and I can take the tree down and everything can return to a normal schedule.

I appreciate everyone that emailed about missing me this weekend for updates, entrecard drops, adgitize clicks, and comments. I don't plan on taking any time off from those things in the near future, so rest assured you will be seeing me around everyday.

New Years Eve

I am having a few friends and their kids over for New Years Eve. I am not serving a meal because people won't be coming tell around 8:00 so that I can have the baby sleeping first. So I have snack food planned, which is great since everything is easy to put together and put on platters since I have to work that day.

Chips
2 different homemade dips
Celery w/peanut butter
4 kinds of cheese
2 kinds of summer sausage
lots of crackers
tortilla chips
homemade cheesy bean dip
little smokies in bbq sauce
pretzels (for the one kid who doesn't like chips)

Alcoholic punch
and told people to bring other drinks if they want it

and for the kids
Sparkling grape juice
Sprite
Root Beer

What is everyone else snacking on for New Years Eve?

Merry Christmas

I hope everyone is having a Merry Christmas.

We celebrated Christmas morning here opening presents and playing with all the new stuff and then headed to the kids' Grandparents house. The roads are terrible out and it took longer than usual but we got there. We had a very nice meal and opened presents again. We were there almost six hours and then we slowly made our way home.

Now we are home and the little one is in bed and I have hooked up our new Wii and the older two kids are loving it. And I must admit it is a lot of fun! I think this is a great winter time game. We only have the game that came with the Wii which includes bowling, tennis, baseball, boxing and golf, but that is keeping us plenty entertained right now.

We will have another Christmas gathering on January 2nd when my family will be coming here. I hope the weather is a lot better then.

Christmas Baking

I just sat down, I have been in the kitchen for the last four hours!
I baked eleven Applesauce Cakes to give away for Christmas. They are now cooling and will need to be wrapped and placed in the freezer yet tonight.

Also on my baking list for Christmas is a dozen brownie cakes, one more big batch of cookies, and then make hot cocoa mix and cappuccino mix. I really enjoy giving people homemade gifts and it really seems that they enjoy getting them also.

Tomorrow is Cyber Monday!

Don't forget that tomorrow is Cyber Monday, the online version of Black Friday. I do not shop on Black Friday because I can't stand to fight the crowds. I hate the crowds so much I don't even like going to the stores during the weekend. So, I am really looking forward to looking for deals tomorrow. I am very hopeful that I can find some things on my list.
