I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We traveled to my sister's house and had a nice time with family.

Last Canning update

I was able to can another 4 pints of vegetable juice. And then I was finally able to put the canner away for the season! Our harvest season ran quite a bit later this year than usual and it was not as plentiful as last year but we were still very blessed with our harvest.

The Last Garden Harvest

Tonight the forecast call for temperatures to dip to 26', so today after work I picked all the peppers and most of the tomatoes and brought them inside to finish ripening. So I can continue preserving them. I pulled the plants and put them on the compost pile. It was a bittersweet moment, the end of this years garden.

I harvested a lot of peppers and some tomatoes today. I wanted to bring in as much as I could because temperatures tonight are predicted to be 30'.
